Brent Hoshizaki  |  CPA, SENIOR MANAGER

Brent is a senior manager with W.L. Dueck & Co.  Prior to joining W.L. Dueck & Co., Brent worked for 2 years at Deloitte & Touche in Vancouver as a manager of US Corporate Tax.  Before Deloitte & Touche, Brent worked for 5 years at Strader Hallett & Co. CPAs in Lacey, Washington. 

Brent has co-instructed an Introduction to US Corporate Tax course at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC.  He has coordinated talent and training initiatives at Deloitte & Touche, and served as the CPE director on the board of the Olympia Chapter of the Washington Society of CPAs (WSCPA).  Brent’s achievements include being recognized in the South Sound Business Examiner’s 2007 ’40 under 40’, and awarded the 2004-2005 New Professional of the Year for the WSCPA. 

Brent has a focus on US and State corporate tax matters, including foreign reporting compliance, planning and consulting from small businesses to large consolidated entities.  Brent has represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service and various other state and local taxation authorities. 

Married with one infant daughter, Brent stays busy playing hockey, golf, and has finished 2 marathons (Seattle and Portland) as a recreational long distance runner but mostly enjoys spending time with family.
