Warren L. Dueck  |  FCA, CPA, Partner

Warren formed W.L. Dueck & Co. LLP in 1998 with a focus on US and cross-border tax matters. He has practiced in this area for over 30 years.

Warren’s practice works with both individuals and businesses in cross-border tax matters unique to Canadian investment and business in the US. His business clients have a broad range of activities including real estate, finance, technology, entertainment and service activities. His individual clients include US citizens resident in Canada and Canadians moving to or investing in the US.

Warren is a frequent speaker on cross-border tax matters in Canada and the US including the Canadian Tax Foundation, Washington Society of CPAs, Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC and other similar professional associations. He previously was an adjunct professor at Seattle Pacific University.

In 2011 Warren was awarded a fellowship with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC. The award is recognition for his service both to the profession and his community.

Prior to forming W.L. Dueck & Co. LLP Warren was Ernst & Young - Vancouver’s US tax partner for eight years. He had also been a senior manager in KPMG’s US tax practice in both Vancouver and Seattle.

Warren has participated in team sports as both a player and coach. More recently he has focused his recreation activities on running, cycling and swimming. He is a regular hiker of the Grouse Grind and has travelled by bicycle in Canada, the US, France and New Zealand.
